Protest held against Nigerian killings

JAMMU, Dec 15: A protest by Muslim community of Jammu under the banner of Anjuman-e-Imamia Jammu in collaboration with All Ladakh Muslim Students’ Association Jammu (ALMSAJ) was held today here near Press Club to condemn the sad and tragic incident, which took place in Nigeria in which thousands of innocents were killed and Ayatollah Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky injured and abducted from the scene.
Speaking on the occasion, president, Anjuman-e-Imamia, Syed Amanat Shah, said, “We condemn this cowardly act of Nigerian Army, which shows that they are supporting Boko Haram in their evil designs”.
Sajeed Haffery, a representative of ALMSAJ, said that Ayatollah Zakzaky is the strongest supporter of Palestine in Africa and always raised his voice against the oppression of Israel. He said we appeal the higher authorities of Nigeria to immediately release Ayatollah Zakzaky.
Prof Sijat Khan, secretary, Anjuman-e-Imamia, in his address said that they will submit a letter to High Commissioner of Nigeria appealing him to release Ayatollah Zakzaky.
