AISF apprises Priya Sethi of students’ issues

JAMMU, Dec 15: A delegation of All India Students Federation (AISF), J&K unit, today called on Minister of State for Education, Priya Sethi and apprised her about the problems being faced by the student community.
The delegation, led by AISF State president, Mukesh Parihar, submitted a memorandum to the Minister, highlighting the demands like; increase in number of seats in Jammu University, free and compulsory education, Common School System in J&K, no WTO-GATS agreement in Higher Education, restarting of Political Science, Economics and B Ed in DDE-JU, establishment of Cluster University in erstwhile Doda district, adequate permanent staff in rural colleges of the State, full implementation of SRO-143 in the State and making Doda campus of Jammu University functional.
Priya Sethi assured the AISF members that she would l take up these issues seriously for positive consideration.
