10 bovines rescued, 2 held

JAMMU, Dec 16: Police rescued 10 bovine animals and arrested two persons near Ban Toll Plaza area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Nagrota police station laid a naka nar Ban Toll Plaza and signaled a truck bearing registration number JK18-8030 to stop for checking.
The driver tried to escape from the spot by accelerating the vehicle, but the cops chased and intercepted the vehicle.
During checking, police rescued 10 bovine animals and arrested the driver and his association.
The accused have been identified as Bilal Malik (driver), son of Gulam Ahmed Malik of Kulgam and Shah Nawaz, son of Mohammad Yousaf of Bagga, district Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 295/15 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota police station Inspector Karan Chalotra made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
