JAMMU, Dec 17: State unit of Bahujan Samaj Party today organised workers’ meeting to discuss and review arrangements for the celebration of the birthday of BSP national president and former UP Chief Minister, Kumari Mayawati on January 15.
State coordinator of the party, M L Tomar (MLC) was the chief guest while State president of the party, Tarsem Khullar presided over. It was resolved in the meeting that birthday of the BSP president which falls on January 15, shall be celebrated as `Jan Kalyan Divas’. The members held discussion and also finalized the venue of the function to be held on this occasion in Jammu.
The members unanimously decided to make this function memorable and help the society by distributing blankets, clothes and other items among the poor and needy. Mr Tomar asked the party leaders and workers to make collections and contribute for helping the society.
Mr Khullar, R L Chargotra, Som Nath Dogra, R K Bhagat, Jagdish Verma and B D Thappa also spoke on the occasion.
