UDHAMPUR, Dec 18: Human Rights Week was organized with various concerned activities at Govt Hr Secondary School Boys Udhampur in Tagore Hall, here.
An inter house symposium competition was held where in the students expressed their views vehemently as regards rights envisaged upon all humans as they are the primary creation in the scheme of nature once a life (human) comes into existence has to live it most respectfully and not like other creatures.
Besides talking about human rights students fully supported duties because without duties rights are utopia.
Surjit Singh, Lecturer Dogri expressed his views not only about human rights but also about directive principles which should also be taken into account by the government whichever is in power. He also expressed his views regarding rights of students/ children’s at the same time he told them to be the responsible citizens and avoid by their social responsibilities.
Munishwer Sharma of Jhelum House was declared first and was awarded prize. The function was presided over by Sunil Sharma, Principal of the Institution. Surinder Sharma, Lecturer in English, Abhinav Gupta, Lecturer in IT, Bhim Sein, Lecturer in Physical Education were the judges.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Sanjay Sharma, PEM.
