Coriander, chilli prices fall on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Dec 19:  Coriander and chilli prices drifted by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists coupled with adequate stocks.
Increased arrivals from growing regions also put pressure on the coriander and chilli prices, traders said.
Coriander and chilli prices fell Rs 200 each to conclude at Rs 10,800-15,800 and Rs 10,400-16,900 per quintal, respectively.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs):
Ajwain (per kg) 150-190, black pepper (per kg) 715-910, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,450-1,460 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,540-1,870.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 570-700, cardamom (colour robin) 580-590, cardamom bold 600-610, cardamom extra (bold) 670-680 and cloves 550-670. (PTI)
