NEW DELHI, Dec 19: Walnut prices rose by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today on the back of increased buying by retailers and stockists on higher demand from bulk consumers, driven by seasonal demand.
Further, tight stocks following fall in supplies from growing regions also supported the uptrend.
Walnut and its kernel prices rose by Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 210-410 and Rs 735-1,070 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against restricted supplies from growing belts, mainly pushed up walnut prices.
Following are today’s quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 20,600, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 10,100-10,400; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,800-7,100; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-20,000.
