JAMMU, Dec 19: The three member NAAC Peer team led by Prof RS Bawa, Vice Chancellor, Chandigarh University, Punjab as Chairman visited Government Degree College, Udhampur.
The other members of the team were Dr U Subba Rao, former Prof, Dr BR Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad as Member Coordinator and Prof VK Shukla, Principal Chander Shekher Azad Government PG College, Sehore, MP as member of the team.
On day one of the visit, the team was welcomed by the Principal of the college Prof SS Bhalwal, Dr Udhey Bhanu, convener IQAC and other staff members followed by Guard of Honour presented by NCC unit of the College.
This was followed by meeting with the Principal, who through power point presentation highlighted various achievements of the College in the last five years. The mandate of the team is to review performance of the college on different parameters of the quality e.g. curriculum, teaching-learning and evaluation, consultancy and extension, infrastructure, student support, governance, leadership, innovation and best practices.
On the final day today, an exit meet was organized in which Chairperson of NAAC Peer Team shared his observations and presented the report of NAAC Peer Team to the Principal and IQAC Coordinator in presence of all the staff members.
