UDHAMPUR, Dec 19: An extensive drive to check the violation of Motor Vehicle Act (MVA) was conducted jointly by Motor Vehicle Department and Traffic Police Udhampur on National Highway in Mand area here today.
During the extensive checking of vehicles, the team challaned 40 vehicles and an amount of Rs 17500 was realized on the spot. The team also compounded 41 vehicles including two wheelers for various violations of MVA.
The drive was conducted under the supervision of ARTO and Dy SP Traffic Police Udhampur.
During the drive, 2 two-wheelers and one mini bus was also seized.
Stern warning was given to the drivers of passenger vehicles for not observing the traffic rules and they were asked to strictly adhere to the traffic rules to avoid any action from the department under MVD.
