Ajuba to set up 400-people facility in Chennai by year-end

NEW DELHI, Sept 5: BPO player Ajuba Networks, which offers services to healthcare clients, today said it is in the process of setting up a new 400-people facility in Chennai by the end of this year.
Ajuba already has three centres in Chennai and employs about 2,100 people across these units. It also has a unit in Philippines.
“The new healthcare legislation in the US is estimated to bring in 30-40 million people under the insurance wing. Coupled with that is the fact that the number of medical transactions (in the US) are on the rise, which brings in more business for us…
“We are expanding our presence in India and are setting up a new facility in Chennai, which will be our fourth in the city,” Ajuba Solutions India Group CEO Tony Mira told on the sidelines of the Nasscom BPO Strategy Summit.
The facility is expected to be operational from November and will have 400 people initially, he said, adding that the centre would have a capacity of up to 4,000 people.
“Since we started our operations in India in 1999, we have been in Chennai and we want to continue using India as a destination for serving customers given the fine quality of manpower,” he said.
Ajuba provides outsourcing of revenue cycle services like coding, data centre, insurance follow up and call centre services to hospitals, physician practice groups and medical equipment suppliers. It is a part of Miramed Global Services group which is headquartered in the US.
It is also looking at expanding operations in the UK and other English speaking markets.
“We are totally focused on the US market as of now. We have plans to expand to other geographies like the UK and other English speaking markets. We are also keen on working with insurance companies,” Mira said.
The company is also looking at setting up facilities in Bangalore and Hyderabad in the next six months, adding about 300-500 people, Mira said.
“Our revenues for the year ended March 2012 were under USD 100 million. For this year, we are looking at a 15 per cent growth,” Mira said. (PTI)
