Dr Kamal projects demand of pre-1953 status to J&K

RAJOURI, Sept 5: Former Health & Medical Education Minister and senior J&K National Conference leader Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal today projected the most controversial demand of pre-1953 conditions in the Jammu and Kashmir State.
Addressing public rallies at Darhal and Thannamandi in district Rajouri today the National Conference leader raised the old demand of National Conference seeking pre-1953 condition, having ‘Sadr-e-Riasat and Wazir-e-Azam (separate PM) for the State. With Dr Kamal, former Speaker and Ex-MP Mirza Abdul Rashid, Provincial president of NC for Jammu Rattan Lal Gupta, Ex-MLA Rajouri, Mohd Aslam Khan, Pervez Malik and Sheikh Bashir Ahmed shared the dice.
Dr Kamal stressed that it was unflinching determination and struggle of National Conference that has kept the hope and aspiration of the people for a secure, self-reliant, autonomous and prosperous future in the Indian federal structure alive. “It was NC which prevented Pakistan from annexing State’s territory in 1947 and now it has taken up cudgels with New Delhi for restoration of Greater Autonomy as enshrined in the constitutional application order of 1950, Delhi Agreement of 1952, and the Article 370 of Indian Constitution”, he maintained.
NC additional general secretary further said that party will continue to play its role in promoting Indo-Pak relationship and resolution of all outstanding issues including Kashmir between the two, to the mutual benefit and satisfaction of all stake holders on both sides of the LoC. He also asked youth of the State not to be swayed with the false claims of some politicians and work for the betterment of the society.
Rattan Lal Gupta while projecting some achievements of the party said that some people are trying to mislead the general pubic over Panchayati Raj system. He cautioned the people to remain vigilant from such elements and said that party was committed for strengthening all democratic institutions in the State.
