JAMMU, Dec 23: A motorcyclist was knocked down by rashly and negligently driven Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) on Canal Road this morning.
The victim was riding motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AF-3893 when a Fortuner bearing registration number JK02BF-2828, which was being driven rashly and negligently, hit the two-wheeler on Canal Road.
Soon after the accident, the Fortuner driver fled from the spot. The motorcyclist sustained some injuries in the accident. The victim with the help of some passers-by reported the matter to the Traffic Police personnel. But, the erring vehicle could not be located despite bringing the matter to the notice of SP Traffic Jammu, Mohan Lal.
Later, a formal complaint was lodged with the Bakshi Nagar Police Station in this regard.
