UDHAMPUR, Dec 25: Police traced out a kidnapped lady within 24 hours.
As per police sources, a person namely Khan Mir, son of Noor Hussain of Kossar, tehsil Chenani lodged a written complaint with police station Chenani that his 30-year-old daughter has been kidnapped by Joginder Kumar, son of Thakur Dass, a resident of Sarar, tehsil chenani.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 119/15 under Section 366 RPC was registered at police station Chenani and the investigation started.
On specific information, police team from Sudh Mahadev police post recovered the kidnapped lady from Udhampur. However, the accused managed to escape from the spot and hunt is going on to nab him.
The lady was handed over to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Sudh Mahadev police post SI Khyati Maan Khajuria traced out the kidnapped lady under the supervision of SHO Chenani Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Chenani Vinod Sharma, Additional SP Udhampur Mohan Lal Kaith and SSP Udhampur Suleman Choudhary.
