JAMMU, Dec 25: In reference to the news item, captioned `Norms Manipulated to help favourites’, published in December 20 edition of this paper, Prof Naresh Padha of Jammu University, who was Incharge Registrar from August 16, 2011 to May 27, 2013, has said that there was no ambiguity in the advertisement for the post of Assistant Registrars and he was not involved in the selection process for shortlisting candidates to invite them for the final interview.
According to Prof Naresh Padha, he was not part of the committee for selection process and hence there was no question of his confession to anyone that the particular ineligible candidate was called for interview on alleged instruction from top level.
