JAMMU, Dec 25: Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash today kick started the construction work on the RCC Bridge at Purmandal Morh. The 10m span bridge will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakh.
The Minister also inspected the progress of ongoing blacktopping of 2-km stretch of road from Daata Ranpat Dev temple to Kaluchak Purmandal being upgraded at the estimated cost of Rs 70 lakh.
The Minister said that strengthening and up-gradation of road network throughout the State is one of the top-most priorities of the Coalition Government and within the last 10 months hundreds of km of road have been black topped with improved specifications to ensure better riding surface and durability.
Highlighting the importance of Daata Ranpat Dev temple to Kaluchak Purmandal Road, the Minister said that upgradation of this road provides easy access to thousands of pilgrims that come to pay obeisance at this temple annually. He instructed the executing agency to complete the work within the stipulated time and ensure quality of work strictly as per the new specifications.
Later, the Minister also inaugurated culvert construction project at Dbuj, Ramgarh being constructed at an estimated cost Rs 3.75 lakh under convergence plan.
