PTA demands 6% DA

JAMMU, Dec 25: Provincial Teachers Association (PTA) has reiterated the demands for release of 6% DA installment from July 2015 in respect of State employees and Pensioners.
In a joint statement, Avtar Singh, president and Kabla Singh, general secretary of Provincial Teachers Association have also demanded extension of leave encashment benefit to the teaching community which is availed by the other State Governemnt employees and also by the teachers of neighbouring States like Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
The leaders of Teachers Association also laid emphasis upon issuance of adjustment orders for the teachers promoted as Masters way back in June 2014, providing adequate funds for payment of salaries to the teachers, ReT Teachers, education volunteers working under RMSA, SSA and new Pension Scheme.
Commenting upon the new Transfer policy recently ordered by the Education Department, they said that many times in the past similar transfer norms were devised but unfortunately the same have not been adhered to by authorities of Education Department.
