Army organizes medical camp

SHOPIAN, Dec 26: Army today organized a medical camp here at Kathohalan to provide free medical treatment to the villagers of Kathohalan and nearby areas with onset of winter.
Regimental Medical Officer of 44 Rashtriya Rifles along with trained medical staff from Army were made available under one roof to provide the free medical checkup as well as free medicines to the local populace including men, women and children.
The camp witnessed overwhelming response from the villagers who were very happy to receive much needed treatment in a very peaceful environment. A total of 91 men, 107 women and 119 children of areas were treated by the doctor.
The camp was a grand success as it was beneficial to the local people since medical facilities are not available in their own location. Commanding Officer, 44 Rashtriya Rifles and Army doctor assured the people of their continuous support and cooperation in all aspects at all times.
