JAMMU, Dec 28: Shiv Sena today asserted that scrapping of Article 370 is must for the better development of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference, Vinay Shukla, Shiv Sena Parbhari of Northern States, who was flanked by State president, Dimpy Kohli, Punjab State president, Yograj Sharma, Delhi president, Neeraj Sethi, J&K State general secretary, GI Singh and vice president, Sandeep Bhagat, said that for the better development of the State, Central Government must scrap Article 370 so that citizens of other states can purchase land in J&K and can reside here.
Shukla asked for a debate on Article 370 to decide whether it was helping the people in the State or not. Accusing National Conference, People’s Democratic Party and other self centred parties of misusing Article 370 to deny the State’s people their benefits, Shiv Sena leader asked these parties to stop misleading the people.
He said that “The people of J&K”, in the name of Article 370 have been denied benefits which are otherwise due to them and are available to the citizens of this country”. He further said that Article 370 has been misused by a small privileged and influential section in J&K to filter out all the progressive legislation from reaching the State.
He said that Shiv Sena party will work at every nook and corner of the State and will prepare themselves for the coming elections (Local Bodies and Panchyat)  as they have decided that party will fight on its own in these elections.
Meanwhile, State president also announced the name of Raj Singh as State Secretary and Shiv Radhey Radhey Maharaj as State Parcharak and advisor. He also announced Arun Sharma as District President Kathua.
