JAMMU, Dec 28: The residents of Jammu West led by Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement held protest demonstration against non-availability of kerosene oil and substandard quality of flour being supplied by CAPD.
Addressing the gathering during protest, Dimple appealed the CAPD Minister for the proper implementation of the NFSB and said that there are some shortcomings and deficiencies in this bill. He said the State Government should sort out those shortcomings before its implementation in the State.
Dimple alleged the 5 liters Kerosene Oil on each ration card holder per month  is not enough and in this chilly winter BPL families have no kerosene oil to cook food for the children.
He demanded 30 liter kerosene and at least 20 kg sugar on each Ration Card.
He also demanded 10 kg atta per member to each family, as 5 kg per member is not sufficient and all the Ration Card holders BPL, APL families should get the benefit of the FSB Food Security Bill.
Dimple demanded for the inclusion edible oil, sugar, salt, dalls, vegetables, LPG and kerosene oil in the NFSB bill from the State Govt side.
He said that only providing the flour at Rs 2 per kg and the rice at Rs 3 per kg is mockery without the inclusion of the other commodities in the NFSB.
He urged the minister to release balance sugar of the last three months to the people as the ration dealers are not giving sugar to the consumers.
