Jammu, Dec 29: A day long session of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKTF) was held under the chairmanship of Balwan Singh Jamwal, wherein the members reviewed the scenario prevailing in the School Education Department, today.
Members of the Federation strongly condemned the decision of State Government for inducting KAS cadre in newly created posts of Joint Director in the School Education Department as policy matter. Members in one voice opposed the decision and appealed to the State Government to withdraw its decision otherwise Federation will be compelled to take the path of agitation and fight with tooth and nail to achieve its goal till the Cabinet Sub Committee recommendations in this regard is withdrawn.
Jamwal castigated the School Education Department for failing to release timely salary/mid day meal/RAMSA /SSA grants. He called upon the State Government to take grants causing hindrance in the mid-day meal and other Centrally sponsored schemes and demanded immediate release of these grants.
Others who attended the meeting were Joginder Singh Manhas, Vijay Kumar Sharma, Sudarshan Sharma, Chaman Lal Sharma, Shamsher Singh and Inderjeet Sharma.
