JAMMU, Dec 29: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) was held here today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita in which various problems of the displaced Pandits in general and Jagti township inmates in particular were discussed.
Mr Pandita in his address accused the Government of its stepmother treatment towards displaced Pandits and warned to launch series of agitational programmes.
Raj Kumar Tickoo convener JTC and Sunil Kaul its general secretary in their address demanded enhancement of cash relief. They also demanded on spot recruitment drive for displaced youth be launched in police, release of balance ex-gratia in case of gutted houses and shops with payment of compensation for those migrant houses which were destroyed during last 26 years in rain, snow etc, filling up of remaining 4000 posts with 2000 more posts for class IVth, issuance of RBA certificates etc.
