JAMMU, Dec 31: Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum has threatened to boycott the screening test if the Government does not clarify on the fake universities.
In a statement, the State Secretary of JKReTTF, Jahanger Alam Khan said that the Government should clear about the fake universities and tuck shops from which ReTs enhance their qualifications.  “Distance mode is the only way to enhance the qualification for employees and it’s much important for teachers to enhance their qualifications for better results and welfare of the student’s,” he stressed and added that if someone gets his degrees either from tuck shops or from fake study centres, Govt must take necessary actions but it was unbearable to harass the entire ReT cadre on the name of screening test.
Maintaining that ReTs have been giving their test from the last 15 years by increasing literacy rate of the State on a meager honorarium of just Rs1500 per month, Mr Khan warned boycott of the screening test if the Government does not clear about the  fake  universities.  Most of the teachers  and  lectures have their degrees from Jammu University, Kashmir University, IGNOU  and other recognized universities of the country but the Government has failed  to clarify about the fake universities till date,” he said and added that the JKReTTF has also decided to challenge the order No. 631 of 29-12-15 as it’s totally anti High Court order in which it is clearly mentioned about  test for those ReTs /teachers who have got their degrees from tuck shops and fake universities.
