Benefits of schemes should reach people: Saroori

KISHTWAR, Dec 31:  MLA Inderwal G M Saroori today toured Chinyas, Bathri and Challar villages of  district Doda and held a public grievance camp there.
While holding a series of interactions with the people of the village,  the MLA  was apprised about their grievances which include drinking water shortage, providing of Solar lights in the area, land protection work over sinking and sliding areas, immediate disbursement of pending wages under MGNREGA, awareness camps through Horticulture, Agriculture and other allied departments, payment of land compensation to owners of land acquired for various roads, plantation through SFC on the barren land and stretches prone to slides, supply of  K-oil and unscheduled power cuts.
SDM Gandoh Chowdhary Dil Mir, X-En R&B Abdul Rashid Sheikh, SDPO Bushan Kumar, Tehsildar Chilli Pingal Pardeep Kumar, BDO Iqreez Ahmed Lone, BMO Gandoh Farooq Saleem, CDPO Irshad Ahmed,  TSO Bhatyas Suresh Kumar,  SHO Mohd Iqbal and officials of PDD, Revenue, PHE, R&B and others accompanied MLA Inderwal during the tour.
Saroori exhorted upon the officers that benefits of various development and welfare schemes should reach to the real beneficiaries timely. MLA said that he is committed for socio-economic empowerment of the people especially those living in hilly, remote and far-flung areas. He emphasized on regular monitoring of the development works besides use of quality material. The MLA said that problem of irregular water and poor power  supply will be addressed shortly.  He directed SDM Gandoh to conduct surprise inspections of the Government offices to ensure punctuality of the staff. Regarding payment under MGNREGA, Saroori directed BDO Jakyas for clearance of MGNREGA payment to job card holders within a week time as Rs 20 crores have been released for district Doda for the said liability.
