NEW DELHI: Price of non-subsidised 14.2 kg LPG cylinders has been increased by nearly Rs 49.50 with effect from today. Allowing for local levies, a non-subsidised LP cylinder of 14.2 kg will now cost Rs 657.50 in Delhi, Rs 686.50 in Kolkata, Rs 671 in Mumbai and Rs 671.50 in Chennai. In a bid to reduce LPG subsidy burden, the government has decided that all those with taxable income of over Rs 10 lakh will have to buy LPG cylinders at the market determined price from January 1. Consumers are required to submit self-declaration. But meanwhile, price of aviation turbine fuel has been slashed by 10 per cent to Rs 39,892.32 per kilo litre. (UNI)
