BJP holds massive public rally at Kalakote

RAJOURI, Jan 1: In connection with Party’s programme of holding  series of ‘Vikas Sushsan Sankalp rallies’ in the State at district and constituency level, BJP organized a massive rally at Kalakote today.
The rally was addressed by BJP State president, Sat Sharma CA, State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, Transport Minister Abdul Gani Kohli and Pahari Board Vice Chairperson Kuldeep Raj Gupta among others. They highlighted the various development projects initiated by the State as well by the Central Government for the welfare of general public.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the rally, said that the main objective of the Governments at the Centre and in the State is to improve the road and rail network for better connectivity in the far flung areas, in particular and provide better facilities to the down trodden, weaker sections of the society and employment opportunities to the youth.
He said that the Governments are working for the empowerment of women folk and the under-privileged classes and added that the  schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Mudra Bank, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bhima Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna, Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan are the initiatives of Narendra Modi led Central Government.
Ashok Kaul said that the BJP Governments are working on the principle of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas” and added that the prime agenda is to provide good, corruption free, transparent and development based governance. He further added that the PDP-BJP led Government aims at to ensure equitable development and progress of all the three regions and elaborated that Institutes like AIIMS, IIT, IIM, IHM, four lanning of Jammu to Poonch Highway, Free medicine and tests in Emergency services, 2000 crore package for PoJK displaced families, financial package at par with Kashmiri migrants for Jammu migrants, enhancement of remuneration for SPOs/VDCs from Rs 3000 to Rs 6000 per month, schemes like Ladli Beti, Aasra, State Marriage Assistance Scheme and Hunnar, eviction of thousands of forest land from encroachers are some of the achievements of the Governments.
Abdul Ghani Kohli, who is also local MLA, charged the past successive representatives of the constituency for allowing the total neglect and discrimination of the area. He said that because of the efforts and the new development works initiated, the Kalakote Constituency is now entering into an era of progress and prosperity, during the present coalition Government. “We are committed to reach the door steps of each individual to redress his/her grievances”, Kohli said and assured the gathering that he will leave no stone unturned in meeting the aspirations of the people of Kalakote Constituency, in particular.
Kuldeep Raj Gupta briefed about a number of activities being undertaken by Pahari Board and said that the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch will be included in all the projects and schemes of the Board. He further added that he is well aware of the problems and needs of the Pahari and shall ensure the participation of the Paharis in the decision making process and assured for bringing a sea change in the activities of the Board.
The rally was also addressed by local leaders.
