100 percent placement of MCA, M Sc -IT students in BGSBU

RAJOURI, Jan 2: In a big achievement, the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University today announced the closure of the Placement Process for the batch of MCA and M Sc -IT passing out in 2016 with 100 percent placements of its students.
The Training and Placement Cell of the University today organized a function on the campus to get the selected students felicitated by the Vice Chancellor Prof Javed Musarrat. The VC distributed offer letters to the selected students in presence of Prof S K Gupta, Dean School of Management Studies and Economics, Qamar Rayees Khan, HoD Computer Sciences and Dr Tasleem Arif, HoD Information Technology.
Prof Javed Musarrat advised the students to work hard and make their alma mater proud. He said the institutions are known by the quality of their students. He also stressed upon the need for skill development among the students.
The Vice Chancellor said his dream was 100 percent placement for students of all the departments of the University and instructions for the same have been given to the Training and Placement Cell.
Dr Sameer Raina, Training and Placement Officer, announced that the Placement process for the year 2016 for the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Information Technology had closed with all its students absorbed.
Earlier, Dr Sameer Raina briefed the VC regarding placements of both the Departments and the recruiting companies.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Qamar and Dr Tasleem laid emphasis on the importance of Placements and the relationship between the industry and academia.
