Degree College at Majalta to become reality soon: Pathania

RAMNAGAR, Jan 2: While reviewing various developmental schemes and projects pertaining to Ramnagar Assembly segment with district/Tehsil/block level officers of various line departments and agencies in a public hearing ‘Janta Darbar’ at Jansal and Village S K Ber, R. S. Pathania MLA Ramnagar amidst thunderous applause by the gathering announced that the decades old demand of the area to set up a Government Degree College at Majalta is now all set to become reality soon.
Mr Pathania told the people that, with all the fire and brimstone, he had raised the issue of Degree College in the Legislative Assembly last year during budget session and District Development Board meeting headed by Chief Minister Mufti Mohd. Sayeed.
He said that due to improper representation and vested political interests this college could not come up despite being the most deserving case throughout the State.
On the occasion MLA Ramnagar announced that with an estimated cost of Rs 1.5 crore the upgradation of Desian to SK Ber road shall be taken up soon and side by side work on Manwal to Tajoor and Majalta to Tajoor shall also be taken up also the upgradation and macadamisation work of Bharnara to Ja sal road to start very soon. Mr Pathania also laid the foundation stone of Sehal to Mela Road.
Senior officers and district/Block heads of education department, Rural Development, Power Development Department (PDD), Public heath Engineering (PHE), PMGSY, Social Welfare, ICDS, Health and other departments were also present.
On the occasion, MLA Ramnagar directed the officials of various departments to put up notice boards displaying complete information about the name of work, scheme, source of funds, funds spent, and name of contractor with his contact number for the information of general masses.
