BJP Councilor calls on DyCM, other Ministers

JAMMU,  Jan 3: During his week long Jammu visit BJP  Councilor in LAHDC Leh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal called on Dr. Nirmal Singh Deputy Chief Minister), Sukhnandan Kumar Chowdhary, Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Chering Dorjey Minister for Cooperative, Priya Sethi, Minister of State for Education, Information & Culture.
During his meeting with Dr. Nirmal Singh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal submitted  village wise details of Project worth Rs.2.2 crore for Improvement work required to be executed in Martselang Constituency in HT/LT Network by replacing undersized/rotten wooden poles as well as creation of distribution sub station for voltage improvement.
The Councillor appealed for allocation of sufficient funds for the project on priority basis.
He also called on Commissioner/Secretary and Joint Director (Planning) and Additional Director (Planning), Department of PHE, I&FC, and submitted two Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of drinking water supply scheme of Stok village worth Rs.4.64 crores and drinking water supply scheme of Matho village worth Rs.909 crore under National Rural Drinking Water Supply Scheme for Administrative Approval. Before meeting the high level officials, the Councilor called on  Sukhnandan Kumar Chowdhary, Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Government of J&K and appealed for his personal intervention for early sanction of the two projects.
Mr Namgyal also called on Commissioner/Secretary, PWD (R&B), and submitted DPRs for construction of Motorable Bridge on Hemis Nallah and Upgradation of 4.70kms length Internal Road of Martselang village worth Rs.6.87 crores.
Appealing Chering Dorjey Minister for Cooperative and Thupstan Chhewang, Member of Parliament Namgyal stressed on construction of Stok Circular Road worth Rs.20crore on priority basis and MP Thupstan Chhewang issued on spot direction to the District Superintendent Engineer, PWD Circular Leh to include the Stok Circular Road in the list of prioritization under Economic Reconstruction Agency works.
While calling on Mrs. Priya Sethi, Namgyal appealed her to bring the two higher secondary schools of Matho and Stok villages under Smart School and request for improvement of quality education in other schools of various villages of Martselang Constituency.
