J&K Bank, JKAACL organize ‘Art For All’ at Bagh-e-Bahu

JAMMU, Jan 3: Jammu and Kashmir Bank and Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) organized 3rd programme of the series ‘Art For All’ today at Bagh-e-Bahu.  The programme was also supported by Department of Information, Jammu.
The traditional music and dance programme including Dogri, Punjabi and Kashmiri folk were presented by the artists of Jammu region.
CS Katal and Party presented Dogri and Punjabi folk music and dance programmes and the audience applauded the items like Mirja-Sahiba in Punjabi and Dhoban in Dogri. The another presentation Maa Hundi E Maa by CS Katal and Party also received great applause. Another item Haran, a Dogri folk music and dance was presented by Hans Raj and Party and Jaadu Jariya also succeeded in attracting the audience. The Punjabi and Kashmiri songs presented by Avtar Kaur  rspecially “Amarsara De Paapar Hun Main Khandi Aan” and “Aa Gaye Paga Pouchvian Wale” were highly appreciated by the gathering.
Ashok Gupta, Editor Dogri, while welcoming the guests said that the main aim to organize such programmes was to provide the local artists a platform from were an interaction with the local audience and the tourists and visitors from outside the State can be made and also have the glimpse of traditional folk of the region and the State.
Bishan Das, Assistant Cultural Officer conducted the proceedings and also presented vote of thanks.
A large number of locals, prominent citizens and visitors witnessed the programme.
