Army can play vital role in development of border areas: Javed Rana

MENDHAR, Jan 3: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Mendhar Javed Rana said that Army can play a vital role in the development of border areas in the State.
Rana said this while addressing a public gathering at Deri-Dabsi and Hareelan at Gohlad, Mendhar.
He added that army’s contribution is required for completion of development works. Army has always played its part and has become a source of inspiration for civil departments as far as development of border areas is concerned, he stated.
He announced that Deri-Dabsi village which is just located near border fencing will be connected with road connectivity very soon and directed R&B officials to conduct the survey of the road so that work for construction of road can be started at the earliest.
Rana directed AEE PHE for early completion and operational of ongoing water supply scheme at Hareelan which will also benefit several adjoining villages. He also called for extension of Malikpur Gohlad road which is under PMGSY.
