Modi Govt created atmosphere of uncertainty in country: Mir

RAMBAN, Jan 3: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president and former Minister Ghulam Ahmed Mir has alleged that Modi Government has created an atmosphere of uncertainty in the country.
Addressing large public rally at Ramban town here today, Mir lashed out at Modi Government at the Centre and Mufti Government in the State, asserting that the  present situation of uncertainty is the creation of controversies and their wrong policies.
He accused the Modi Government of practising divisionary politics at the Centre as a result the whole country is facing an atmosphere of uncertainty and failure on all fronts.
“The opportunists have empowered because of their divisive ideology and power hungry politics,” he said adding that during their nine months of rule in the State (PDP-BJP), they have created an atmosphere of uncertainty, which is the result of their wrong ideology.
“They keep people engaged in controversies to hide their failures after one and another,” Mir further lamented.
“The Government has failed to address even the most common issues of people and they were giving slogans promising them the sky during the time of elections,” the PCC chief maintained.
“The Govt has implemented National Food Safety Act in the State without taking any stakeholder into the confidence and also without considering its fallout,” Mir said and added that it was  landmark legislation of the previous UPA Government at the Centre, but it didn’t implement then keeping in view its wrong effect on the people.
“The present BJP Government at the Centre is claiming its achievement over various projects approved by the previous UPA Government at the Centre,” Mir said adding that  Modi Government is making feel of packaging by summing up all those projects, which were approved by the UPA Government.
“They promised for rehabilitation of affected people of 2014 floods, but they have not provided any relief or compensation till now,” Mir said.
The people are protesting on the streets as their issues and genuine demands are not addressed by the Government according to their promises, which included various categories of employees such as temporary, daily wagers and others.  Employees are protesting on  the streets for their wages and other issues.
Several other senior leaders including Sham Lal  Sharma, Vikar Rasool-MLA,   Rajneesh Sharma,  Ashok Dogra, Ex-MLA Ramban, Sham Lal Bhagat- MLC;   Indu Pawar, Ex-MLA, Pranab Shagotra, PYC chief and Arun Singh president, District Congress Committee, Ramban also spoke on the occasion.
