JAMMU, Jan 4: Continuing its protest, National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) took out a “Lalkar Rally” against JKSSB and Government.
The protesters were demanding cancellation of SSB exam held on December 25, issuing roll number slips to the aspirants 15 days earlier, examination centers at district level and different examinations for divisional and State level.
The rally, which was led by Fairoz Khan, National Secretary, NSUI and Neeraj Kundan, State President of NSUI was organized by Ajay Kumar, National Delegate of NSUI. It started from Dhanvantri Library to Main Gate of Jammu University. Amid slogans, the protestors also blocked the Jammu University-Bikram Chowk road for some time.
Addressing the gathering, Fairoz Khan said on December 25, paper for graduate level post was conducted by JKSSB and there was mass copying in all the centres established across the State.
Despite knowing all the facts, why the Government and JKSSB is mum and not doing anything to meet the demands raised by the NSUI for bringing respite to the students, he questioned.
Khan added their struggle will continue till their demands are redressed.
While speaking, Neeraj Kundan said that the Chairman of JKSSB has become incompetent for which the students are paying. “JKSSB Chairman should resign on moral ground as soon as possible and a high level CBI committee should be constituted to probe the matter of mass copying in the exam held on December 25”, he demanded.
Nasir, President, MAM College, Aftab Keen, NSUI leader, Rupali Chadha, Shireya Sharma, Kanvika Sambyal, Imran Akram, Sachin Sharma, Ajay Singh Thakur, Imran Katoch, Abishekh Kotwal, besides many others were present on the occasion.
