Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Jan 4:  Former MLC and chief spokesperson JKPCC  Ravinder Sharma conducted two days tour of Sunderbani-Nowshera areas of district Rajouri and took stock of the problems of people.
Addressing a series of meetings and interactions with prominent citizens and party workers, Mr. Sharma said that present coalition of PDP-BJP has failed to address the basic needs of people during its ten months rule and people are suffering for want of basic facilities of life. He said that people are facing acute shortage of ration for the past few months, as the government has failed to supply the sanctioned scale of ration while sugar has not been provided for the past around four months, which has caused a great resentment amongst people.
He was also apprised about the erratic power supply and the deterioration in the water supply schemes at several places. He said that the work on the sectioned projects under RGGVY phase-II for electrification of left out areas, have not been started despite lapse of over one year.
The present government has only changed the name of the scheme to ‘Deen Dayal Upadhaya scheme’, as part of its ‘branding and packaging’ expertise. Similarly defunct and defective water supply schemes at several areas including one in Nonial has not been taken up besides  failure to start the sanctioned scheme of Water supply in  Pukhernee near LoC in Nowshera.
Mr. Sharma lashed out at the Government for its failure to concede the demands of the daily wagers, needs based, C.P. workers, ITI trained and other such categories in PHE, Irrigation, Flood Control and other departments and urged the government to frame their regularization policy at the earliest.
