NEW DELHI: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today called up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and assured action on the Pathankot terror attack that claimed the lives of seven Indian security personnel.
India had yesterday given some leads to Pakistan on the attack carried out by terrorists which the evidence says came from across the border.
A statement from the Pakistan Foreign Ministry last night said, ”The government is in touch with the Indian government and is working on the leads provided by it.”
It also expressed ”Pakistan’s commitment to effectively counter and eradicate terrorism, while stressing the need to maintain dialogue.
Earlier in the morning, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had spoken to his Pakistani counterpart Naseer Janjua. (UNI)
