9 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Jan 5: Police today said nine persons including a police officer were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley.
A police spokesman said a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05B-2820 met with an accident on Sopore-Kupwara road at Mattipora in Drugmulla area of north Kashmir’s district, resulting in injuries to five passengers. “All the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said an accident took place between Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK01H-4124 and a Tata Mazda bearing registration number JK01N-1248 at Nehru Park here, resulting in injuries to boththe drivers identified as Farooq Ahmad Bhat and Arsheed Majeed Khan.
The spokesman said a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05D-0307 on way from Sopore to Bandipora collided with a Water Tanker vehicle resulting in injuries to two persons including a police Sub Inspector. “Both the injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard,” he added.
