JAMMU, Jan 10: One day convention of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha was held here today.
Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and Senior Vice President presided over the convention while Raghubir Singh Sirohi, Patron, Mahender Singh Tanwar, National Working President and Anil Singh Chandel, National General Secretary, were the chief guest, special guest and the guest of honour respectively.
The convention was attended by a large number of Rajputs from J&K and adjoining Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab besides members of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha.
The proceedings of the convention started with welcome address by Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Chief Organizer of the State Unit.
Gulchain Singh Charak informed the gathering about various steps he and his team had taken to uplift and ameliorate the condition of the community during his tenure as President of Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha as well as Senior Vice President of Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Mahasabha.
Raghubir Singh Sirohi, Mahender Singh Tanwar, Anil Singh Chandel, Ravi Singh Slathia, President of the State Unit, Major General GS Jamwal, Ex-MLC, Kashmir Singh, Ex-MLC, Advocate BS Manhas, Prof PS Pathania, Brig SS Sambyal, Brig MS Jamwal, Surinder Singh Gilli, Zahid Zaffer Malik, Capt Mohammad Azam and AP Singh from Kshatriya Sabha (UP) also spoke on the occasion.
Mahasabha felt that they face utmost discrimination in all spheres including social, economic and political.
Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha also approved the formation of its State Unit with Ravi Singh Slathia, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak and Amrik Singh Karamyogi as President, Chief Organizer and Vice President respectively and Dr Raghubir Singh, Rameshwar Singh Manhas, Dalbir Singh Chib, Ajit Singh, Rashpal Singh Chib, Pawan Singh Manhas and Dr Soni Singh Sambyal as members and they were authorized to nominate other office bearers and members of the working committee.
An advisory committee of the Mahasabha was also constituted with Major General Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, Brigadier MS Jamwal, Brigadier SS Sambyal, Prof PS Pathania, Dr MS Baloria, Retd Principal, Colonel Amar Singh and Colonel Jangvir Singh Sambyal as its members.
Keeping in view the deliberations during the convention and prevailing condition of Rajput community, Mahasabha adopted 11 points resolutions.
