JAMMU: Government today demolished three illegal structures and sealed a hotel constructed on a State land in this winter capital of the State.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Jammu South, Shahid Mohammad Dar along with Tehsildar Jammu South and SDPO South visited Babliana and Belicharana areas and demolished the illegal structures which were constructed on State land and also sealed one structure which was a hotel on-that-spot.
Acting on the complaints, received from officials of various authorities including police, about various encroachments going on in tehsil Jammu South particularly in Belicharana, Satwari and Babliana, the team proceeded to the spot where some people had raised a wall illegally on the agriculture land and were also in a process of converting the agriculture land into a colony illegally. The wall was also raised in order to harass the farmers into selling their agriculture land at cheaper rates.
The wall was demolished and all parties were directed to maintain status-quo with regard to any construction on the land and also Tehsildar was told to not issue any fard for sale-purchase of this land. (AGENCIES)
