JAMMU, Jan 13: Police arrested a person along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from Phalain Mandal.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Phalain Mandal police post laid a naka and intercepted a man on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 45 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Joginder Lal, son of Gardarb Ram, a resident of Nai Basti.
A case under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Phalain Mandal police post and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Phalain Mandal SI Mashqoor Ahmed made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
