JAMMU, Jan 14: A 35-year-old man died mysteriously at his residence in Lakkar Mandi area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the deceased has been identified as Kamal Kishore son of Bachchan Lal, a resident of Lakkar Mandi, falling under the limits of police station Janipur.
Quoting family members, the spokesperson said that the man had returned yesterday night in inebriated condition and went to bed without taking any meal but in the morning, his condition suddenly deteriorated and the family members rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
He said that after conducting medico-legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. A case in this connection has been registered at police station Janipur and proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC.
