JAMMU, Jan 17: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today appealed the Governor NN Vohra to announce a comprehensive regularization policy of nearly 61000 daily rated workers working in various departments of the State Government for last 21 years.
In a rally of NMC workers held here, NMC president, Subhash Shastri drew attention to the fact that Governor NN Vohra had issued orders for regularization of nearly left over 3660 daily rated workers falling under SRO-64 on February 27, 2015, but the same reformist order was not implemented by the Finance Department till today.
“Similarly, the issue pertaining to clerical cadre has still not been resolved with the result that there is some degree of resentment within the cadre”, Shastri said.
Terming the Governor as an astute administrator, who has empowered bureaucrats to mitigate salaried class suffering, Shastri hoped that these burning issues are expected to be resolved only under Governor’s rule.
