JAMMU, Jan 18: Civil Military Liaison Conference, hosted by the Crossed Swords Division was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy General Officer Commanding (DyGOC), of the Division at Akhnoor today.
It was attended by prominent persons and officers from Akhnoor Sub-Division. They included SDM Akhnoor – Suresh Sharma, SDM Chouki Choura – Jagdish Singh, SDM Khour – Rakesh Kumar, SHO Akhnoor Pushpinder Singh, SHO Gharota – Rekesh Kumar, SHO Khour – Mohd Iqbal, Assistant Executive Engineer PWD (R&W)- Sukhjit Singh, Executive Engineer (FCD) Akhnoor – Ashok Sharma, Executive Engineer (FCD)-I Akhnoor – Harjit Singh Suden and Executive Engineer (FCD)-II Akhnoor – Mukhtiar Singh and other public representatives.
Deputy General Officer Commanding welcomed all the officials to the conference and complemented them for an excellent synergy between the Armed forces and the local Administration. The conference highlighted the security status and security apparatus put in place keeping in mind the prevailing situation. Aspects of co-ordination on security were discussed. Various issues of development and assistance in execution of projects were also highlighted.
The conference was also aimed at discussing issues pertaining to land cases and development of area in and around cities of Akhnoor-Khour-Tanda. Deputy General Officer Commanding, Crossed Swords Division in his interaction with the local civil Administration representatives complemented them for their support and cooperation with the Armed forces and assured of more such interactions in the future.
