JAMMU, Jan 18: Narwal police arrested a thief along with stolen car.
As per police sources, during checking, a team from Narwal police post intercepted a Santro car bearing registration number JK02N-1165.
On seeing police cops, the two occupants escaped from the spot after leaving the vehicle behind. Smelling something fishy, police chased and nabbed one of the occupants, who disclosed that they had stolen the car from Digiana area.
The accused has been identified as Shubam, son of Govind, a resident of Gorkha Nagar, Bagh-e-Bahu.
He will be handed over to Gandhi Nagar police station, where a car theft case stands registered.
Police team led by Constable Aslam and SPO Arjun made the arrest under the supervision of Incharge Narwal police post SI Mehmood Khan, SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
