RAJOURI, Jan 18: Sangarsh, a  civic movement for justice, equality, peace, prosperity and brotherhood,  has criticized the role of district administration for putting into cold storage the much publicized scholarship scam and financial irregularities in  Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri.
While talking to  media persons here today the vice-president of  the Movement Showkat Ali (advocate) alleged that more than six months have passed when due to the struggle of the students and Sangrash the district administration promised to take action against the culprits but unfortunately till today there are no whereabouts of FSL report nor any charge-sheet framed against the then Registrar of  BGSBU and his other associates which shows that district administration is shielding them.
He  pointed towards the credibility of the then SSP Rajouri who had allegedly derailed the ongoing enquiry against the then  Registrar through Special Investigation Team (SIT), giving a chance to the main culprit to escape easily.  It is suspected that delay in investigation also resulted in the tempering with the incidents which is an indication of high level of involvement of some political leaders too, who are shielding those culprits who have brought bad name to the university.
Israr Mirza (advocate), district secretary urged upon the Governor to intervene into the matter and issue instructions to the district administration to compile the enquiry and put behind bars the culprits so that the faith of the common man on the law of the land may remain alive. He further said that the State is under Governor rule and there  should not be any political pressure on the SSP and the Deputy Commissioner.  The people can  hope that impartial inquiry will be conducted.
The activists of the Movement pledged that until the police makes FSL report public and presents challan against the main culprit in the Court, the activists are not going to sit idle and shall continue the struggle.
