JAMMU, Jan 21: The National Secular Forum (NSF) has demanded introduction of biometric attendance system in Jammu University (JU) to check the absenteeism of teachers and officials of the university.
In a statement, NSF general secretary Narinder Singh said that the biometric attendance system in the university would put a check on teachers and officials who are taking hefty salary but contributing none to the system.
He also appealed the Governor N N Vohra, who is Chancellor of the university, to issue necessary directions to JU in this regard.
