Tarigami for thorough probe into Kathua incident

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Jan 21: Expressing deep shock over the reports about a nomad woman who was barred entry inside the labour room and had to deliver her baby reportedly in hospital compound in Kathua, CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has demanded a thorough  probe into the incident so that the culprits responsible for the agony caused to the hapless woman are brought to justice.
In a statement issued here, today Tarigami observed that it is unfortunate that some doctors and para-medical staff supposed to behave as messiah for the patients have turned so ruthless that a craving woman is denied their much needed medical help during her labour.
Demanding thorough investigation into the matter so that such incidents are not repeated in future, Tarigami said: “the missionary zeal of giving a real healing touch to the patients is unfortunately vanishing in our healthcare professionals each passing day. There is dire need to revive that love and care which doctors of yore were famous for or otherwise the whole medical profession will turn into a crudely commercial venture.”
