UDHAMPUR, Jan 21: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, a team of officers today seized Tipper and Tractor, which were doing illegal quarrying from Nullah near Birma bridge Udhampur.
The team, comprising of Tehsildar Udhampur Sapna Kotwal, Naib Tehsildar Vinod Badyal and SHO Udhampur Arjun Chib, seized two vehicles on the spot.
The Tehsildar directed all the Revenue staff of the Tehsil Udhampur to be vigilant and closely monitor the illegal unlawful excavation/extraction activities carried out in the Udhampur. She also added that strict action would be initiated against the defaulters for the violation.
