MENDHAR, Jan 21: The food and allied workers engaged by the CAPD department for loading /un-loading of food grain bags held protest demonstration here today.
These workers are on strike for the last over one week. They alleged that their wages have not been released for the last seven months and rate of handling ration bags has not been revised since 2012. They continued their protest dharna at the main store here. About 15 trucks loaded with ration have been parked at the main store at Mendhar town for the last several days but the labourers are not unloading them due to strike, causing inconvenience to the truck operators.
