Narco smuggler held with heroin

JAMMU, Jan 21: District Special Branch (DSB) and Chatha police arrested a narcotic smuggler along with 5.5 grams heroin worth several thousands from Hakkal Morh area.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from DSB and Chatha police post jointly laid a naka at Hakkal Morh and intercepted a person for checking as he was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 5.5 grams heroin worthy several thousands from the possession of the person and arrested him on the spot.
One electronic weighing machine used for sale and purchase of heroin was also recovered from the possession of the accused, who has been identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Montu, son of Makhan Lal, a resident of Ward Number 2, Bhour Camp.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Satwari police station and investigation started.
Police team headed by Incharge Chatha police post SI Krishan Raina made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Manjit Singh, DySP DSB Karanjeet Singh, SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
