SAMBA, Jan 21: Two persons died while two others were seriously injured after a car in which they were traveling was hit by an unknown vehicle at Naka Chak near Railway bridge here on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway late last night.
According to Samba Police an unknown vehicle hit a car which was without number at Naka Check near here on Jammu Pathankot NH late last night resulting into severe injuries to four inmates of the car. All the four have been rushed to the SDH Samba wherefrom doctors referred them to GMC Jammu for treatment. However two injured persons succumbed to their injuries in GMC while other two are also critical.
The deceased have been identified as Raman Sharma, 32, son of Ashok Kumar of Chhan Rodiya and Rajinder Kumar, 45, son of Krishana of Mongor Kathua. The injured have been identified as Sanjay Sharma, 25, son of Bichithar Ram and Updeep Singh 34, son of Karpal Singh. Both are residents of Sasma.
The Samba Police has registered a case under relevant Sections of the law and started a man hunt to trace the vehicle which hit the car and fled after the accident.
