Teaching of Urdu

Sir,
Urdu being an official language of the State, occupies vital importance. It is adequately used in Revenue and Police Departments. In courts too, its impact remains unreduced. The masses for whom it is all Greek, face difficulties when happen to come across the matters where Urdu is involved. Non-availability of Urdu teachers in Govt schools is a serious flaw in promotion and enrichment of this language. Chances of employment also get reduced where only Urdu knowing are preferably taken. As a State language, it really deserves special place and it needs to be taught in all educational institutions, including private schools, contributing in educational sector. Any language is a dress of thoughts. It is a  vehicle for expression of one’s ideas. How confusing and disgusting it becomes when a well-educated gentleman stretches hands for getting a piece of paper read, which is in Urdu. Since it enjoys commanding position in the galaxy of languages every effort for its promotion and teaching is considered inadequate. Therefore, providing Urdu teachers in all schools is a basic need in the Deptt. To keep the cultural heritage alive and rich, the significance it enjoys, deserves to be maintained.
